Zarquawi isnt even cold yet, and the GOP is already politicizing it...
from Raw Story:

New Jersey Republican Chairman Tom Wilson released the following statement today:

"We owe a debt of gratitude to the men and women of our military for having eliminated one of the top masterminds of the Al Queda terrorist organization that was responsible for 9/11 and countless other murderous acts around globe. Their triumph marks a significant moment in the war against terror.

"However, this moment also provides a clear and compelling reminder of why Bob Menendez should not be sitting in the United States Senate. If Bob Menendez had his way, Zarqawi would still be leading a campaign of car bombings, assassinations, suicide attacks, kidnapping and beheadings in order to make Iraq a safe haven from which al Qaeda could continue its war against freedom and the American way of life. If Bob Menendez had his way, Mr. Zarqawi would be alive and plotting the next attack on America, Great Britain, Canada or who knows where."

4. No surprise there...
They'll politicize braindead women, grieving mothers of lost soldiers and Christmas, so what's a dead terrorist to them?

5. No shocker here. However . . .
This attack is so incredibly lame, we should send a little gift to whatever consultant is advising Wilson. People are not going to buy this shit this time around. Especially in Jersey (Disclosure: I'm observing the Jersey scene from nearby -- I don't actually live there.)

7. Not even Republicans are unlucky all of the time.
It was probably some Democrat or Independent voter who was smart enough to find Zarquwi. Why would anyone think that a Republican was smart enough to find him.

11. Dear Mr Wilson - if we keep following your party, will we ever find
bin Laden? You remember, the guy who attacked us and gave ShrubCo and the RNC a free hand to destroy our civil liberties, grasp wildly at power not theirs in the Constitution, loot the treasury of the US to feed their cronies and campaign donors, leaving our grandchildren to pay off trillions in debt. Yeah, that guy.

Well, you've had 'your way' and failed so miserably at it (or succeeded so well for those fortunate few at the expense of the rest of us) that we really do want something better. And hopefully, your miserable failures will all come to light to enough people that Americans will never want to try "your way" again.
