http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2006/6/12/12553/2519Mendendez is on the offensive, fresh off his (easy) primary victory last week.
"My vision of America's and New Jersey's future is more in line with average New Jerseyans' than Tom Kean Jr.'s is. ... New Jerseyans have seen what type of United States senator I intend to be for the future - someone who stands up to the president," Menendez said in a recent interview.
"Tom Kean Jr. is joined at the hip with the president. ... While (he) tries to portray himself as a different kind of Republican, when it comes to choosing sides he always makes the wrong choices."
Menendez hammered Kean for supporting the war, opposing abortion rights, favoring "privatization" of Social Security, knowing little about port security, and being too cozy with the oil lobby.
This is how we will win the house & senate - make sure to use your repuke's opponent name hand-n-hand with George W. Bush.
