a modest proposal

there is extreme left; there is left; there is left-of-center; there is center; there is right of center; there is right; there is extreme right

I propose a simple solution to 90% of the world's problems . . .

let's euthanize everyone to the right of "left-of-center."

It could save our species.

For the satire-challenged of you, I do not condone or encourage violence.

Unless, of course, it could save our speices.

Seriously, though, imagine you could wake up tomorrow in a world with no right-wing wack jobs screwing everything up.

I mean, how else are we going to determine political leanings? You can't use written words or speech, especially if they know the euthanasia is imminent. It's got to be a machine, spinning a wheel to stop in a specific range, or spitting out a partisan percentage.

3. You'd wake up in something approaching a just society

Health care is a right.
The education system is the best it can be.
There is no war.
The environment is protected.
We have mass transit worthy of any advanced nation.
Many corporations are turned into worker co-ops.
Workers are actually paid a living wage and treated like human beings.

The list goes on and on. Of course, this is all speculation. It will never happen!
