Strickland, Brown lead rivals
http://www.cleveland.com/weblogs/openers/index.ssf?/mtlogs/cleve_openers/archives/2006_06.html#150841

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Ted Strickland has a double-digit lead over his Republican rival, Ken Blackwell, a new statewide poll shows.

Voters say they prefer Strickland over Blackwell, 53 percent to 37 percent, according to a SurveyUSA poll of 507 likely voters conducted this week for Cleveland’s WKYC-TV Channel 3 and affiliated stations in Cincinnati and Youngstown. The poll has a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.
(snip)
The survey also showed that in the race for the U.S. Senate, voters favor seven-term Democratic Congressman Sherrod Brown over incumbent senator and Republican Mike DeWine, 48 percent to 39 percent. Eleven percent of those surveyed said they favored anybody but them, while 2 percent said they were undecided.
(snip)
In the race for governor, voters identifying themselves of independents favored Strickland over Blackwell by 19 percentage points.
(snip)
In the race for the senate, Brown had 14-point advantage among independent voters and found his strongest support in Eastern Ohio. DeWine, which has led Brown in many other polls, leads Brown in Western and Central Ohio, according to the SurveyUSA poll.

Alright, Buckeye DUers -- keep up the good work.

4. I sure hope this trend continues
Strickland will need a very large margin by November to insure that Diebold and Blackwell do not steal the election. With Sherrod being a personal favorite, I am working for him all the way.

24. PRECISELY.
If Crackwell miraculously wins, it's GOTTA be Diebold-assisted fraud with that big a deficit. Repubs here are bad, but even Crackwell crosses the line to just plain batshit insane and shady for many of them.

14. This is consistent
GOP is floating bogus polls (Mason Dixon and U of Cinn) - ignore them

Survey USA, Zogby, Rasmussen - have all shown Brown consistently ahead of DeWine.

16. Brown has been ahead in all polls
This GOP meme is getting a bit tiresome, but then there's been a lot of Rovian work in DU today.

15. Zogby, Rasmussen and Survey USA have all had Brown ahead
As I mentioned earlier, two bogus pollsters - Mason Dixon and U of Cinn - are GOP bought polls. Ignore them.

This is great news, Brown has been ahead all along and the gap is widening. Dems will win in Ohio.

And if no one does anything should this eventuality happen (hopefully it won't), I WILL be looking for a new state to live in.
