Coward Ken refuses to meet and debate with Ted
Strickland (both running for Governor of Ohio). Ken Blackwell thinks he doesn't HAVE to debate Ted because he is planning on stealing the election.

(06.08.06) Columbus, Ohio - Ohio gubernatorial candidate Ted Strickland and candidate for lieutenant governor Lee Fisher today called on Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell to step down from overseeing this year's gubernatorial election. Strickland and Fisher also called on Blackwell to reverse his recent decision to complicate and hinder traditionally accepted voter registration methods. "Given his history, Ken Blackwell simply cannot be trusted to fairly administer an election in which he is a candidate," said Fisher, a former Ohio Attorney General, during a morning press conference at the King Arts Complex in Columbus. "His decision this week to suppress Ohio votes for personal gain is where we draw the line."

Columbus, Ohio – David Wilhelm offered the following statement today after initial contact with the Blackwell Campaign suggested that they are not willing to meet to discuss a possible debate schedule and format.

“We reached out to the Blackwell campaign in a good faith effort today. I suggested that we sit down this Monday, June 19, 2006, to discuss the dates, times and format of a series of debates. Unfortunately, the Blackwell campaign rebuffed our offer to sit down and work together to determine the best dates, times and formats to maximize public participation in the best possible forums around the state.”

God almighty.......Blackwell is a snake. I know in my heart that bastard is going to steal this election. It's what he does....he did it for bu$h and he'll do it for himself. :grr:

1. It's astonishing that this should have to be asked of him.
Is there precedent for this? A sitting Sec'y of State is going to oversee his own election to be governor? I mean, it's like having to ask someone not to smoke in a nursery for crying out loud.

repukes do what they want. Right or wrong,it makes no difference to them as long as they "win".

4. Ted is a wonderful man
Honest and trustworthy and not a mean bone in his body. He's going to have to get tough if he wants to kick blackwell's ass. That's what worries me. You can't play nice with these bastards or you will lose. It's time to get down and dirty and FIGHT!
