at least with greed, sometimes, you end up helping others to help yourself

Oskar Schnidler comes to mind

with apathy, you don't do squat

3. I agree...
Greed is a double edged sword, that can do harm or good. Apathy is a dull knife that doesn't help anyone.

While there are plenty of examples of greed's damage, it's not difficult to find examples of greed resulting in a benefit to society. I can think of plenty of examples of apathy's damage, but I can't think of any way that apathy benefits anyone.

6. Greed is the single urge...
From which all other negative human actions stem.

7. Agreed (gee, I never noticed that the word 'greed' is in 'agreed' before..
but perhaps I didn't make it clear that my 'vote' was that greed was much more harmful than apathy.

Peace

9. Apathy, because it's more pervasive.
There just aren't that many insatiably greedy people, as compared to the number of apathetic ones. Apathy enables greed.

11. Apathy......because
apathy means you could care less...and that IS the sickness that's put us where we are today...w/o apathy on the part of the majority, you wouldn't have greed on the part of a few...

Those who don't bother to vote and or stand up when their rights are being attacked, or an auto manufacturer producing hybrid vehicles?
