I watched the repubs attacking him and I am worried about what Karl Rove might do to him in the November election. Is he safe or should we be sending money along with our letters of support.
I get the feeling he's going to fight this battle no matter what it costs him. He seems so alone and brave.
3. Does Murtha have the money to run against the republican machine to get
re-elected in his home district? I know Congressman Murtha has courage, but he really is the point man on this issue. The repubs are really beating up on him. I mean ann coulter using Murtha's name and fragging in the same sentence. It's like watching the neighborhood bully threaten your grandfather.
I want to know that Jack Murtha will be in congress next session. He's seen worse, but he was a younger man.
only built his support. It would be nice if Ann decided to help a charity instead of building hate to increase her revenue. It's pathetic that some of the gullible GOP buy into her hate package and feed her revenues. Ah, America.
I may send him a donation anyway. I don't want to see him get the Georgia treatment(Max cleland). I didn't think the good people of Georgia would throw out a man who left three limbs in a foreign country, but they did.
to give Murtha some money, we need more people like you. It seems Murtha is pretty safe, this is just a thought, I'll bet some of those Iraq vets that are running as new dems against sitting republicans really need people like you.
She's a young county commissioner. Decided to jump into the race after Murtha's calls to pull out the troops. Murtha ran unopposed in 2004.
A few weeks ago on DailyKos I read a diary saying Irey's husband went into partnership with an arms dealer who was later killed in Iraq. I skimmed the diary and never went back to look for a verification or followup. Probably easy to find if you Googled.
Regardless, Murtha is not in any jeopardy. His lowest re-elect percentage was 59.6% in 1980.
14. Murtha's scoring points against the Bush fascists
I'm on the west coast and not familiar with Pennsylvania politics. I've seen so many veterans go down on the "protecting America issues".
Murtha doesn't seem the least bit afraid of the these guys. My stupid congressman voted "Yes" on the latest Iraq resolution, but he voted against giving Bush the authority to wage war. So one out of two isn't bad.
