We should pull out of New Orleans because of the crime rate
Latest right wing talking point equating New Orleans to Iraq and what liberals propose to do. Heard on Springer this AM. I don't know if "conservatives" are more ignorant or pathetic.

1. They are NOT ignorant of the facts!
Which makes them not only pathetic but disingenuous and cynical.

4. Well then, we ought to
pull out of the United States because of its crime rate and give it back to the native Americans.

5. Republicans don't want to do anything about New Orleans...
...because this state is a *purple* state meaning that they split between electing democrats and republicans. Thing is, the democratic population resides in, yes you guessed it, the urban areas like New Orleans. If they can depopulate New Orleans then they can help put Louisiana in the Red STate column. Perhaps get rid of Landreiu and Blanco; replace them with republicans

6. We are stuck down here.
I am not sure a Repuke could be worse than Blanco and Landrieu. Have you looked at their records!!! The state is just getting redder and Blanco is sucking up to the fundies.

8. A democrat on their worse day is still better than a repuke on their best
Blanco has to suck up to fundies especially after Katrina since the gulf coast is nothing more than a sitting duck waiting for the next big storm to hit. As for Mary Landrieu - we'll she's not the worst democrat in the senate but she does give us a "+1" in the democrat column which helps us get a majority. Voting for Landrieu means you want all these great Northern & Pacific liberal democrats like Boxer, Feingold, kennedy, Kerry, Durbin, Levin etc running your senate.
