SOMEBODY KNOWS.......
As I sit here and ponder what has happened since the sElection of 2000 - the coup d etat of our government - I can't help but think that "Somebody Knows". Somebody (and it probably is somebodies) knows what has gone down. Right from the very start from the picking G.W. as their presidential candidate - to the stealing of the election in Florida - to the SCOTUS decision - to 911 - to the Patriot Act - to the deliberate giving up on looking for Bin Laden - to the run-up to the war in Iraq - WMD - all the phoney stories - (i.e., Jessica Lynch, etc) - to the outing of a CIA agent (Plame) - to the repug 'culture of corruption' - Enron, Abramoff, Delay, Cunningham, Frist, Cheney/Halliburton, etc - to the stealing of the 2004 election - to the negligence of handling of Katrina - FEMA - Brownie - and on and on and on.

Too many things happened for all these things to just happen - coincidences. All of this was choreographed - and somebody is the choreographer. Somebody knows all of this - planned, initiated and executed this plan - and continues to do so today.

Just think how sinister all of this was/is - and think there is a somebody or somebodies out there that are pulling all these strings - to make all this happen. It staggers the imagination. It is so unbelieveable - who would ever believe that this is orchestrated - who would ever want to believe that this was/is all orchestrated. To believe this is to believe that we don't really live in a democratic government - of the people, by the people and for the people.

18. Schultz is heavy, but he answers to the Bechtels.
Nonetheless, an important actor. But he is an operator, the real power lies elsewhere.

15. The list could be in the hundreds....
Reading about the Power Group in D.C. in the 60's and 70's,80's from the JFK tragedy to the Iran Contra its just an "Inside the Government mafia".The Group is even more powerful now and what gave them more strength is the MSM and I believe it will get even worse unless we are able to win back the majority and gain subpoena power in Congress. This is the only thing that will save our Democracy.Republicans want a one party system and it appears they are on track. To have been able to steal another election in 2004 leaves us with,Where in the hell were the Democrats that could have had safe guards in place so this would not have happen again? I mean after all they had four damn years to act.Which leaves me with another thought....There must be Democrats in high places that know too........

16. Thinking the root problem goes WAY beyond any power group in D.C.
Corporate takeover of the world involves all of the world. D.C. is just one of the places their employees work.

MSM just a working arm for the owners of society.

2. Several People
There are probably various people, who know pieces of each part of the puzzle. A select few may know everything that's gone down. The innermost Klan. Those who can be trusted with their very lives. A la The Sopranos......"The Family."

But the disciples all understand what's at stake, and will retain their secrecy until the day they each die.

5. It's probably a cabal of extremely powerful industrialists behind it all
We think we've made progress. We got civil rights, and we ended Viet Nam, but they've won on the economic front, the front that really matters to these people. Minimum wage is worth a fraction of what it once was at the end of the 1960s. We've got trade deficits, and we've got massive government debt. Nevermind insane levels of consumer debt.

At every significant battle between the rich and the poor since Bobby Kennedy died, the rich have won a majority of the battles. There have been a few victories for workers like the Americans with Disability Act, but otherwise, the picture for workers in America has been a picture of defeat, and the Democratic leadership has either been unwilling or unable to contain their power since the 1960s. They have slowly crept forward to consolidate much power in this country.

12. "It" doesn't have to be 'orchestrated'
in the sense of a choreographed conspiracy.

The coalition of the oligarchy/theocracy/media automatically knows their roles. They don't have be given secret messages. Each knows their parts to play, and they all play to win... no matter what.

Tim Russert is perhaps the best example of how this works. He knows how he has to act to rake in the Big Bucks and schmooze with the Big Boys.

Russert may not know the 'Big Picture' of anyone 'pulling the strings,' but he sure knows how to do the dance.

There are endless examples.

The Mindset of Corporatism has prevailed over human decency and everyone who is anyone knows how to play the game.

Corporatism doesn't have to be a 'conspiracy.' It is what it is and Corporatism is completely anti-democratic.

19. After watching Rove's weekend speech
it amazes me that he is touted as the "brains". He has no charisma, made no sense as he only repeated what he has said for 7 years now. It is easy to say the other party is weak and unimaginative. Saying stupid things like cut and run. School yard talk, nothing substantial, strictly bad mouthing and finally ended up saying nothing but how strong his party is. So, it looks like tons of corp. money has bought Congress and what goes on in the media. They frame it all, never bother with the truth, as Gore said, "An Inconvenient Truth".

Dean did a good job of getting some truth out there today. Others need to follow his lead and quit playing petty games. We can only hope that the dems follow their peers that speak from the mind and heart and throw off the shackles of intimidation and fear of losing. Ugh!

21. Greg Palast knows
I URGE everyone to read his newest; 'Armed Madhouse'.

I thought I had a pretty good handle on what was really going on, but this book really answers ALL those questions we've all had since 2000.

I'm more than halfway through it, and the further I get, the more the pieces are all falling into place. It's really an amazing piece of work.
