Mike Malloy suggested the perfect election meme: End the Occupation

Nobody wants to "lose" a war, so the repugs will win with "Stay the Course".

He says we need to reframe the dialog. By turning Bush's "mission accomplished" around on him, we can say that even Bush told us the war was won. What we have now is an occupation of a foreign country. America does NOT occupy othe nations. So by turning the discussion around to "End the Occupation" we can leave and still claim victory. After all, we defeated the Iraqi army and removed Saddam from power, and isn't that the purpose that Mad George told us we must accomplish. Well, it's finished, so let's End the Occupation.

3. End the occupation is a plan

you can get a super majority to embrace the phrase end the occupation. No one wants to say stay and die because no one wants that. It's a good zinger when someone hits us with cut and run

The troops were told that the fastest way home was through Bagdad, they finished that job three years ago, the mission was accomplished now it's time to end the occupation
