CNN Poll: 63% say "no way" Jeb Bush would get their vote in 2008
(CNN) -- With the presidential election more than two years away, a CNN poll released Monday suggests that nearly half of Americans would "definitely not vote for" Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Respondents were asked whether they would "definitely vote for," "consider voting for," or "definitely not vote for" three Democrats and three Republicans who might run for president in 2008.

Regarding potential Democratic candidates, 47 percent of respondents said they would "definitely not vote for" both Clinton, the junior senator from New York who is running for re-election this year, and Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts, the party's candidate in 2004. Forty-eight percent said the same of former Vice President Al Gore, who has repeatedly denied he intends to run again for president.

Among the Republicans, Sen. John McCain of Arizona and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani fared better than the Democrats, and Florida Gov. Jeb Bush fared worse. Only 30 percent said they would "definitely not vote for" Giuliani; 34 percent said that of McCain. As for Bush, brother of the current president, 63 percent said there was no way he would get their vote. The younger Bush has denied interest in running for president in 2008.

After the Repubs have totally screwed things up for 5 years,
their candidates (except for Jeb) still poll much better than any of ours,
and you call this *good* news !??

2. Let's see, how would Diebold calculate that?
63% "real world" against = 52% victory for Jeb in 2008.

Yep, that's about right.

3. Results of elections seem to have little to do with voter intent anymore
We best be worrying about all manner of election rigging.

4. Looks like most people don't want anyone who's in the current
top Federal positions, from either party!

I happen to agree with them! I don't either.

6. The fact that CNN is even asking the question means
it's being floated out there by SOMEONE.... are they testing the waters?

9. There was a thread that showed this earlier
but I can't find it.

We're going to have a fresh face in '08. That's the way we win.

I think Einstein said that, but don't hold me to it.

10. If we win '08, Jeb could be the nominee in '12
That may look stupid now, but Jeb's approval rating in Florida is very high and Florida is obviously a pivotal electoral state. In 2012 the Bush name might not look as bad to Republicans if they are coming off a presidential loss and realize the Bush family won 3 of 4.

I just like to look at scenarios. And it was always assumed Jeb was the smarter and more capable brother so I doubt we'll never see him as the GOP nominee.

11. The ENTIRE point of Pork Chop's interview with Larry King in 2004...
Edited on Tue Jun-20-06 08:28 PM by Human Torch
...was to say "I DO NOT INTEND TO RUN IN 2008."

after that, it was like interviewing Jessica Simpson on how many boys she's kissed.

The corpulent, corrupt, Terry-Schiavo-Corpse-Pillaging-POS known as "Jeb Bush" WOULD NOT GIVE Larry King a straight answer beyond 2008.

This bitch wants to beat his brother. It's OEDIPUS time...anyone NOT understanding this, raise your hand...FUCKING NOW,

And for the DU Politically Incorrect Police Squad, the people who MISS THE MESSAGE because they heard a fucking word they DID NOT LIKE...realize that I do not use the word "bitch" in sexist, misogynistic terms.

Jeb Bush is a MAN. Take note of that.

And also take note of the fact that JEB-BUSH-IS-MY-BITCH.

He's a bitch, folks. No disrespect intended toward women.

I love them, I respect them.

If someone wants to step forward with a phrase that describes Jeb "fat sack of shit" pig motherfu**ker Bush as something OTHER THAN MY BITCH, I'm ready to hear it.

UNTIL THEn, this HELLSPAWN, this FRUIT of PAPPY and BARBARA'S tainted loins...IS MY BITCH.

FUCK you, Jeb.

FUCK YOU in 2008, and FUCK YOU as long as God allows you to live. You Terry Schiavo copse-raiding-worthless-POS-BUSH-crime-family-MOTHERF**KER.

FUCK YOU, Jeb.
