I got into a an argument with captain. He said the DSM classified homosexuality as a mental disorder. I argued with him that would've been the DSMII, and then, in 1986, we were either into DSM-III or DSM-III-R, I don't recall which.

I tried to be polite about it, but this MEDICAL DOCTOR, officer, had such a fragile ego that he couldn't deal with fact that an enlisted man 10 years younger than him might actually know something that he didn't that he got very ugly and started screaming at me. I really wanted to tell him to look up Reaction Formation and Homophobia, but decided that the argument had gone far enough.

NIce to know, after all these years, where he got his flawed information and inter sting that the military isn't updating their info...

for working in this administration.
