Limbaugh's Sickening Smear of Liberal Blogs

OK, I admit it, that headline itself isn't likely to surprise a lot of people and, sadly, today's item on Rush "Oxycontin King" Limbaugh probably will not shock anyone either. But, I'll mark this as reason number 2,394 I give when people ask why I fight Republicans so hard and why I give them no break whatsoever.

Here's Rush Limbaugh talking to millions of Americans today about the reaction on progressive blogs to the news that our two captured soldiers have been found dead in Iraq:

"I got an e-mail here – 'Rush, now that, now that two of our own have been tortured and murdered by the terrorists in Iraq, will the Left say that they deserved it? I am so sick of our cut-and-run liberals. Keep up your great work. Bob C. from Roanoke, Virginia. P.S. I love the way you do the program on the Ditto King.' I read - no, I added that - he didn't, didn't put that in.

"You know, it's - I gotta tell ya, I, I, I perused the liberal kook blogs today and they are happy these two soldiers got tortured. They're saying 'good riddance.' Hope Rumsfeld and whoever sleeps well tonight."

I've been to a lot of blogs today and have seen nothing but grieving for these young men and their families -- but here's Limbaugh using their deaths to spin more lies about people like us.

Anyone care to ask why I can honestly say I hate people like him so much?

I haven't read even ONE post on any "liberal" board I've been to that has been celebratory in any way. If anything, they are somber and blaming Bush for what happened to these poor boys!

This is why the Red Staters always vote for the RW-ers. They believe this bullsh*t! Are there any Democrats that will answer him publicly? Probably not. But, if one des, will the media even cover it???

So, where are the Cons demanding he apologize for painting all Liberals with a broad brush of extremism? All I hear are crickets.

It's because of this asshole saying this kind of shit that the righties are ready to kill anyone who claims to be "librul"...or a Democrat!
We've been painted with this brush for so long that it's made many dems afraid to publicly declare their support for the party...or for progressive/liberal causes.

Thanks for this post! Limbaugh's entire show is a three hour attack ad for the GOP. He lies, smears and spews hate as good as any NAZI propagandist ever did.

The blog he attacked was DU, which prompted me to seek out this site for the first time. Those lying $h!t's have been getting away with this hate-mongering for too long. Unfortunately, all that they need is one troll to spike the blog, and then they have the "evidence" necessary to smear all of us.
