5. That is the "Classified" part
The infamous Black Budget which we mere mortals are not permitted to know what it is for, NSA, CIA black ops stuff. It funds the spy satellites, the eavesdropping equipment, all of those wonderful things. More than we spend on any one of the other human services, neat huh?

2. Don't worry the talking heads will explain to us simple folk how this is
not what we think it is. Clinton has something to do with the Iraqi Prime Minister talking crazy I'm sure.

6. Obviously the discussion of this Iraqi policy was known the the WH..

as the US Ambassador was involved. Likely for some time. So they went ahead with a "stay in Iraq vote" last week.

It is who they are.

7. Iraqi govt is seated now. It's going to be hard for dems to cry foul
without looking petty. Americans want to see the beginning of the end of the war.

This is why we hate Rove. He's damn good at what he does.

8. Funny. "Iraqi govt is seated now." Haven't I heard that before?
What do you mean it will be hard to cry foul??? They should be crying 'foul', 'war crimes', 'illegal', 'murderers' and every other apt descriptor for this nightmare. It is no wonder Democrats don't get anywhere with attitudes like this.

You regard a seated puppet government who are likely to be gunned down for working with the occupiers to be an end point?? Yikes.

9. The Iraquis and the US military know with absolute certainty
that we have to get out sooner rather than later. Our presence fuels the insurgency while decimating our military capacity. The only thing keeping us from adopting a specific timetable is W and the Republicans' need to disguise the failure that they have sired.
The thing that made McNamara's role in Vietnam unforgiveable was his silence long after he knew that the war was a failure and the continuation of the slaughter was solely for political purposes. We are at the same point now in Iraq. Bring the troops home now!
