1. Murtha said he's not trying to get votes until after the election
Personally I think that Murtha should be majority leader and Hoyer should stay as whip. Although I think that there would be better people than Pelosi for Speaker, she's clearly going to get the job and I think that she will do a good job as our face and our spokesperson. She will appeal to our base but also she has some national appeal. Murtha will be excellent in the number two spot as the attack dog. Hoyer apparently has been good at keeping the caucus voting together so I think that's where he should stay. Hoyer makes stupid remarks in public and so I think that he should work behind the scenes.
