W in 06 or 00 Bob Dole in 96 George H. W. Bush in 92 or 88 Ronald Reagan in 84 or 80 Gerald Ford in 76 Richard Nixon in 72 or 68 Bary Goldwater in 64 Richard Nixon in 60 Dwight Eisenhower in 56 or 52 Thomas Dewey in 48 or 44 Wendell Willkie in 40 Alfred Landon in 36 Herbert Hoover in 32 or 28 Calvin Coolidge in 24 Warren Harding in 20 Charles Hughes in 16 William Taft in 1912 or 1908 Theodore Roosevelt in 1904 William McKinley in 1900
None have done anything postitive since him. At least he was an environmentalist, albeit one who hunted bears. But he initiated the National Park system.
18. Ike and, if I had been alive at the time, I probably would have
voted for Harding given how much of a clusterfuck the last two years of Wilson's term were. I'm ashamed to admit it, but looking back without knowing how bad Harding and that brand of Republicans were going to be, I probably would have voted for him. Wilson's second term would have pissed me off to no end.
I did vote for John Warner in 1990 I believe...he was unopposed at the time and did have a reputation as a thoughtful person and one who would buck his leadership...
While he is still more thoughtful than your avergae Republican much of that has gone away!
If he were alive today he'd be a Democrat. Trust buster and environmentalist. I'd vote for him now. He was more anti-corporate than most of the Democrats in the party now.
