This is discouraging, but not surprising.

Too late, but it's set in.

6. Too bad they were convinced that Kerry was "too French"
because most of the ISG opinions were Kerry/Edwards opinions in 2004.

8. Yes
The only way to remove the troops is to "remove" Bush & Cheney first.

5. And I'm sorry to say
I don't think the Dems will press to remove them either, eyes on 2008. I don't understand the reasoning behind that since they rode back into Congress on the antiwar sentiment.

9. i disagree
I think the Dems will push for some set of timetables. it may not be perfect, but it will be more than the "do as I say Iraq government ... or I'll ask you again a year from now" policy we now have.

10. not what I had in mind
but I suppose it is better than nothing which is what we are getting now. There is NO POINT in our being in Iraq now except for Junior's cronies to secure the oil. Our soldiers are paying the price.

7. If Bush sends in MORE troops
to Iraq, which I think he wants to do, will the majority of Americans turn their thoughts to IMPEACHMENT?????

When will the people of the USA say enough is enough. We saw a hint of it in this past election, but what will finally put them over the edge? "We are as mad as Hell and won't take it anymore" stance.

11. polls suggests americans aren't as gullible as the administration was hoping
i think the plan is to PRETEND to be withdrawing the troops, simply leaving a big mess for the incoming dem president to clean up.

The country is stuck with this so long as the present regime retains office.
