Has the Media ever began election coverage THIS early before?
My God. We still have another year to get through first, asshats. Isn't there anything more worthwhile to cover in the world these days?

1. They smell blood
They know that the 08 election is going to be bloody. Both primaries will be hotly faught after, and then after the fighting won't stop.

2. This gives them more time to swift boat all
the democratic candidates. The closer to the election the more shrill and vile and lying they will get.

3. it's absurd. the off year ballots were barely counted when they started in on
the next cycle, but to be absolutely fair, there are candidates that already had their exploratory committee papers filed so they could start raising money! and that's the problem with our politics today. it shouldn't take 2 years of fund raising to be a serious candidate for pres. look at the millions wasted on campaigns that could be used for something useful, like katrina recovery or heating oil in the north. as long as we let this beast continue to be controlled by corporate interests we're fucked, and the longer we allow it to continue the more we're gonna bleed.

4. Being the 2003 frontrunner certainly helped out President Lieberman
If you look at 2003 polls in the early primary season, Lieberman was a huge leader. You have to admit that his inaugural speech was so amazing.

:sarcasm:
