Top 5 Alliance for Justice Goals for 2007:
Top 5 Alliance for Justice Goals for 2007

1. Work with our partners in the human rights and religious communities on a public campaign to roll back the Military Commissions Act.

2. If there is an open seat on the Supreme Court, publish extensive research and reports on any nominee, and work with our online friends like you to make sure that the most qualified and fair-minded nominee is confirmed by the Senate.

3. Continue to be the only organization that provides in-depth research and reports on every nominee to the Court of Appeals. The Supreme Court is important (see #2), but these lower courts are also essential in protecting our rights.

4. Support and maintain the Access to Justice Coalition’s ongoing campaign to protect people's right to seek justice in the courts.

5. Develop our workshop and technical assistance expertise to help immigrant groups expand their civic and political involvement.
