2. I Watched This AM... Some Said He Bungled His Timing & I Was
thinking the announcement might have gotten very little coverage. So I decided to tune into Tweety to see how he reacted. He actually spent more time talking about him than I thought he would simply because of Ford's passing. I commented before that I felt Tweety really liked Edwards and his show tonight re-enforced my feelings.

And he's going to have him on his show AGAIN tomorrow night, so it seems Tweety DOES like him! Having him on his side IS a big plus for Edwards and I couldn't be happier. I've thought about Edwards a lot and have certain reasons why I support him, but there is one other reason that some will support him that is on the "fluff" side, but so be it. While I think he has great charm and charisma, I'm past "swooning" about this type of thing. There will be many who will be drawn to him because of this factor and it doesn't hurt one bit.

Perhaps it's the "lawyer" in him that makes him seem so at ease, but I've seen many candidates who could not have pulled off the way he decided to announce. No script, no podium and no contrived fan-fare! I liked it and after the news reports tonight apparently he did get a lot of coverage AND I didn't hear the negativity I thought the media might have been prone to use. That was a surprise and I'd say he got some "Mo" out of it after all!

Go, Johnny, Go!

3. You mean timing with Ford's passing?
Nah...the MSM didn't seem to care today...mostly JRE's announcement was wedged between the Woodward Ford interview and Saddam's hanging.

Nice interview up now on Cspan following the announcement :)

6. I Didn't Catch Any Off Camera Comments... I Watched THAT
program at least 4 times too! Some said Tweety was trying to trip him up, but I NEVER saw it that way. What I saw from the get-go was Tweety "trying" to do Hardball, but his heart wasn't in it.

He even said it as they were going to break at one point. It WILL NOT hurt Edwards at all to have Tweety in his corner, it's a good get for Johnny!

8. PLEASE
Go Johnny go. PLEASE. Please go away. I live in NC. The home of the former senator. He would not even win his own state in a race against Mickey Mouse. We know the ex-senator well. The reason he is the ex-senator is because if the ex-senator would have run for a second term the EX-SENATOR wouldn't have come in third. Go Johnny go. GO AWAY.

12. He IS charismatic. Yet on a gut level, I too feel "something"NOT trustable there.
Felt the same way in '04 too.

Though Edwards talks a good "talk." (Lawyers do.) And has a "working" background. But "something" TOO self-serving there, which one of the reporters pin-pointed by implying the New Orleans"setting" today served Edwards, as much as the people he stood beside.

Great photo op! And SOME good intention. Yet "something" NOT quite real. Though I would vote for him over Hilary OR Obama...if that's all that's given.

14. I knew if I asked "Badboy" to elaborate on his answer, he'd split town...
The dude has made a total of 7 posts here in TWO years.. and number 7 was the one bashing Edwards.

I wonder if his first 6 threads were complementary towards Democrats?
