Big Ed: Nader could be big problems for Clinton or who ever gets the nomination
because of the war and some progressives are upset with the Dem's acting like republicans.

1. Nader is nowhere
Where has Nader been since 2004? Where has his voice been on all of the critical events and political trends during Shrub's 2nd term? Nowhere. What has he stood up for publicly lately? Nothing. Sure, there are a few delusionals who still think he's the savior of America, but sensible people who even remember who he is know that voting for Nader in 2008 would be no better than writing your vote on toilet paper. There will be alternatives for people who want them, but Nader is a lost cause.

2. I understand Nader's frustration
with this two party system but I think he should use his time during off election years to endorse and support like minded candidates running for congress instead of crawling out his hole every four years to spoil the election for the Dem's. I'm beginning to wonder who is Nader really working?

3. Ed's not the sharpest knife in the drawer...
Biggest 'progressive' ego, maybe, but bright... Not so much.

4. Nader's response
or rather payback for Dems cutting his causes adrift and his own colleagues dealing away ideals is to dysfunctionally take on the dysfunctional political process. It gets hard to sepate the mess except to say he hasn't exactly covered himself with glory or furthered the cause of third parties or his own issue causes. That is ironic understatement.

I for one almost welcome the nostalgic rage that attends his reappearance whenerver the media deigns to listen to him at all. Namely, only when he's screwing over the Democrats. He understands that very well, I am sure and is part of the knife he digs into corporate Dems as long as they too support that kind of gameboard. It certainly livens up the supporters of his current targets.

6. Could be, but I don't think anyone is going to be fooled by Nader this time
In 2000, there was enough of a track record to resist his 'there's no difference between George Bush and Al Gore.' Whomever the puke nominee, he will have to run on chimpie's eight sterling years. Nader was on tweety's show today. What with Nader bashing Hillary laterly, Tweety must have had wood the entire hour.

7. The votes Nader might pull are a distraction from the votes Diebold/ES&S will
surely be 'disappearing' in the primaries, and distributing to third parties (Schwarz, the recall), 'disappearing' (18,000 in FL-13), switching (touchscreens, Kerry to Bush, never the other way around), preventing by strategic machine "breakdowns" (causing long lines only in poor precincts), "miscounting," flipping wholesale, where necessary (Ohio '05, election reform initiatives flipped from 60/40 wins into 60/40 losses), discarding for arbitrary reasons, chewing up the "paper trail" record of (if there is any), and by these and other "trade secret" formulae means, in ALL the voting machines and central tabulators, insuring that the U.S. corporate predator foothold in the Middle East is never abandoned, and that all of Bush's pioneering gains for Corporate Tyranny are consolidated for use by all future Corporate Puppets whom they crown as their king.

Let Nader do his worst, he cannot top what Diebold/ES&S did in 2004, and again (yes, they did) in 2006, and will do again in 2008. At worst, he gives them a third party name to distribute the votes to, away from whoever is their boy (or girl) this time--but there are generally other names available for that. I'll believe the Republican conspiracy to run Nader against Democrats when the Democrats stop conspiring with Republicans in the coup d' etat of "trade secret" vote counting, owned and controlled by rightwing Bushite corporations.

8. He doesn't worry me
He's just a quack now. He's now the perpetual candidate.

But then again, Hillary attracts criticism and frustration like no other candidate from the left, so I think there's another issue to deal with if she's nominated.
