NYPost: Steven Van Zandt 'Silvio' turned down Clintons' Sopranos spoof. He backing Barack Obama.
'SILVIO' PASSED ON HILLARY AD
By KENNETH LOVETT

June 22, 2007 -- ALBANY - Steven Van Zandt, who played Silvio Dante on "The Sopranos," whacked a chance to appear in Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's widely acclaimed video spoof of the show because he's backing Sen. Barack Obama.

The Clinton campaign asked Van Zandt to play a menacing figure in the diner where Hillary and Bill met to discuss the song she picked for her campaign theme, said a source close to the actor and Springsteen guitarist.

The role ultimately went to Vincent Curatola, who played New York mob boss Johnny "Sack" Sacramoni in the HBO series.

1. First, it's not a spoof, it's a piece of crap. Second, I wouldn't be surprised at all if
the NY Post pulled this out of their ass.

4. That's his right. If his only reason is a stupid video
then he doesn't think much of himself and his values.

5. I don't believe it means that he's not backing Clinton BECAUSE of the video.
It means he didn't want to appear in the video, since he's backing Obama.
