2. I can see a congress person having qualms
if their religion forbids it BUT they were elected to represent the people in their district and the country and what they want and what they feel should have absolutely nothing to do with it.

That is what is teeing me off with congress. THEY ARE OUR PUBLIC SERVANTS THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO VOTE THE WAY WE (AND NOT THEMSELVES) WANT. Don't you all agree.

Most of the people, according to the news papers in our area, want the stem cell research.
