My bad. I had earlier posted that Bruce Willis would be on
Hardball. I thought it would be this evening, sorry about that... I haven't checked as to when it will be on since I now listen to Old Time Radio (honestly, I can't stand MSM anymore)...

2. I just love it, right now I'm listening to www.wnar-am.com and the
other one I love is live365. Go to oldies and many choices await. Glad I'm not the only one either. Don't you love those old mystery shows?? The commercials really bring back some good memories from my childhood.... Glad you enjoy also..

I'd never heard of wnar or live 365. I now have the links saved, found the otr on live 365 easily. This is great!

4. It 's a relief from the white noise of TV. A great variety of shows
including mystery theatre, the old Jack Benny, Life of Riley, etc. shows that were popular in the late '30s and '40s. I put my speakers up on the armoir where my comp is and I can do stuff without having to watch (like dust, wash a dish, etc.).... I'm sure you will enjoy and the music on live365 is absolutely the best. Many, many choices.

6. Listening now, Love the sound effects.
Exaggerated foot steps, too cool. My Mom would flip to hear this stuff. Waiting to hear a commercial.

5. Lots of audio from the early days of radio
Here's some sites with audio files free. To hear some of these you might need to download Media Player Classic which is free off the net.

7. Many thanks for the links!
Some times you just have to get away from the news, and wander back in time.

11. Your welcome
Yes, it's great to enjoy something completely different. It's like a battery recharge.

Btw, the BBC also has some fabulous contemporary spoken word. Drama, comedy and such. It's all on BBC 4. Here's the link http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/
Find the link for "Arts and Drama" on the left side of the screen in the big list. They have dramas that go on for a week as well as all sorts of stories and plays that are from 15 minutes to an hour long. There's so much there, you'll figure it out. To listen on my laptop I had to download Media Player Classic. They all play okay on my PC but the laptop couldn't do it with Firefox. MPC is free off the net. I found it via the Mozilla web site.

:hi:

12. Same here. Love that they kept the scratchy sounds intact.
Very vintage. (I'm a fool for anything Vintage)

14. I go to sleep listening to classic radio every night.
Streaming audio on my laptop. I also got satellite radio just for the classic radio station. It really helps on the long trips and commutes. Thanks for the new info! :hi:
