I am leaning towards two candidates and they both did well tonight
Edwards and Richardson are who I am trying to decide between. Honestly they both did quite well. Richardson had his best performance yet. Most of his answers were clear and concise. His answer to the lesbian couple was terrific. Surely I would prefer that he supported full marriage but I also know that we could elect Barney Frank and still not have marriage.

Edwards was forceful and did a great job of bringing his issues to the fore. His video was terrific, I would suggest using it as a commercial it was that good. His answer about the man with the clef palette was great.

I still can't make up my mind. Incidently only Gravel did poorly.

3. I wish I could put them all in a blender and make one awesome candidate.
They were all very good, with the exception of Gravel. He is just too irate and off the wall. One thing I know for sure....I was really proud of all of them. What a great group of candidates we have. The fact that it is hard to decide between them speaks volumes.

11. Heh - I have a whole other thread disputing that.
My thread is about how none of the candidates are all that great, making it hard to choose whom to back.

To each his/her own, I suppose.

:hi:

7. He comes across as nearly deranged
He also is way too aggressive in attack.

8. he had his moments
that little dig at Obama's claims to not take big business money was breathtaking. But when he came out with that flat tax equals conservation he had everyone in the room making loon noises. If he can get the occasional *hypocrisy hit* in on the debates, I'll listen. But vote for him for president -- no frigging way.

9. mixed feelings about Richardson's performance..
Edited on Mon Jul-23-07 09:17 PM by flaminbats
Richardson knocked the ball out of the park on scrapping "No Child Left Behind".

but did I misunderstand Richardson's answer on healthcare for illegal immigrants? if I understood his answer correctly, illegal immigrants would be covered under his healthcare plan. I support health insurance for all American citizens, but this doesn't mean our tax dollars should be used to provide benefits to illegals who get paid less than minimum wage and don't pay a penny in taxes!

10. I don't know where you get the idea they don't pay taxes
Maybe there are special stores they buy their food, gas, and other things at where they don't get taxed but I think not. It should also be mentioned that he implied there was a fee for this health care plan (or a tax not sure which) that would have to be paid.
