Isn't It A Little Disingenuous Of CNN Saying That The Questions In Tonights.....
debate were from the people. Yes - they took questions from YouTube - but CNN still screened the questions and only let those go on that they wanted to get asked. So in a sense they still controlled the tone of the debate. To me these should have been random questions - and let the chips fall where they may.

I'm from the old school and I still hate the time limits and lack of any candidate challenging the others. These debates are too structured for me.

3. Disingenous is being kind to CNN
There were FAR more questions that had been VOTED on by other viewers that never saw the light of day. And that website was set UP (supposedly) for people to watch and vote for what they thought was important. Instead, CNN picked what THEY wanted to ask -- so what exactly was the point of having that site?

CNN is total bullshit, lying to people about what it was going to do. And not ONE decent question asked about single-payer healthcare. Chickenshit New Network.

4. Well, I think YouTube AND CNN are due for a letter-writing campaign
I didn't watch the debate--I definitely would have watched the first half if Michael Moore hadn't been on Hardball. But I did vote, and impeachment had a wide lead as of Sunday afternoon. So what happened? If the vote was a fraud, both CNN and YouTube have a little explaining to do.

5. Definitely need to be loud and point out that CNN and youtube
were playing fast and loose with their *you ask questions* website.

I spent time on the site, with my kid and his friends, watching the individual videos, and discussing them. We were watching how some were getting voted up, and *thought* we had an idea what the viewing public wanted to ask. But then the debate starts and they show videos we hadn't even seen - I can only assume they were late entries.

Total BS.

6. thank you! Is "silly" a good treatment for such a critical national decision?
While it was "interesting" to watch, I still find anything done by CNN to be tainted. This is, after all, one of the MSM cheerleaders leading into the run up to the war. Same people that aired Dean's scream ad nauseum. We're so used to seeing talking heads with opinion, and looped sound bites - and confusing it for news....

BTW - why the lengthy delay to get the Republicans in the same spot?

9. Can somebody pls give me a link
to the CITIZENS ratings of the youtube questions?

has anyone made a transcript of the questions CNN selected vs. the same no. of questions rated most impt. by users?

(Among other reasons, shd be a useful counterpoint to the corp. media's lame claim that they only give us the cr*p we want.)

10. I agree!
They were definitely too structured and no semblance of equal time was maintained.
