Local crowd thrilled to meet senator
PORTSMOUTH — "Woooow," said Emily Montplaisir as she stood at the edge of the Seacoast Media Group press room. "I'm definitely starstruck."

The Portsmouth High School senior had just had her photo taken with Sen. Hillary Clinton as the presidential candidate made her way out of the public forum.

Clinton had heard that Montplaisir, who plans to register to vote when she turns 18 on Dec. 6, will cast her first vote in the 2008 New Hampshire Primary.

"I would be honored to have your first vote," Clinton told the young woman.

Montplaisir was one of many who were captivated, charmed, ecstatic, pleasantly surprised, or outright thrilled with Clinton on Tuesday.

Very good article on young people in New Hampshire wowing over Hillary. :)

1. As I was watching the debate Monday night
I suddenly realized that Hillary has one tremendous asset that no one has talked about - She is absolutely charming.

She was relaxed and ready for whatever came her way and generally just havin' a good time. She has a great laugh and seems to always be looking for the humor in a situation. It surprised me.

I suddenly could see that she does have the ability to win people over.

I get it.

I have not picked my candidate (actually I have - he is just not in the race) but I now understand her poll numbers.

2. Thanks that was very nice of you to say.
Hillary does have a warm side and as the year goes on it shows more.

7. I have yet to find ONE PERSON who says that HRC is anything but self-centered
with regard to personality. Yes, it's all about her - according to her.

10. I'm saying that you may wish to consider re-grouping. HRC doesn't have the charisma by a long shot.

I don't know what to make about the polls but it's beyond disconcerting when NPR hires one of the most SMARMIEST Political Personas to work their polls, i.e., one each - Frank Luntz. :puke:

HRC comes across and rigid and egotistical. When she tries to make it "light" it looks contrived and cheesy. HRC's "husband" can not win the election for her. I regret that the DLC has once again, figuratively put their eggs in the WRONG basket, i.e., backing another pro-corporate / pro-war centrist. :(
