Iraq: September, no, we'll start considering withdrawal in APril.
on PBS just now: 2 dems and 2 reps discussing Iraq. They were all taken on special visits of Iraq by General Petreus with a tour of beautiful peaceful Fallujah. One, Jan Wakowski is the head of the Out of IRaq coalition. The other 3, including the Dem completely forgot that the deal with Bush was to meet the "goals" by September. "It's way too early to judge." "the surge is working." "Maybe we can leave at the end of 2008." "We can start thinking about some withdrawal starting next April."

All 3 mentioned April. We will stay till April. We will fund Patreus till April. One even caught himself, realizing he was supposed to say september. The fix is so in already. "You didn't really expect all those bench marks to be met did you? Wait till April." (The benchmarks were too high.)

While Reed made a deal with Bush to leave Congress out of session in August. (Remember Harry Reed made a deal with Bush; Bush would amkeno recess appointments, and the Dems would approve Bush's judicial nominees". Meanwhile, the republicans took our senators to Iraq and gave them the royal/Bush/Iraq treatment, and they came home republican.

1. They will reduce the number of troops ...
By some token number just in time for the '08 election to take the teeth out of the issue. That has been the plan all along. That's why the can keeps getting kicked farther down the road.

Both sides are playing the anti-war crowd for fools.

They don't work for us.

2. The majority of Americans are anti-war, and yes they are being played as fools.
That's what you get when you have an appointed president.

3. NO DEAL -
I will not tolerate it - if the democrats do - then screw them.

This is OUR country - they are just hired help. ALl of them.

They have to do what we want - not the other way around.

I am not even all that liberal - you don't have to be now - you just have to recognize we need OUR army intact.

It is ours - not theirs!!!

Joe
