The Circumstances Surrounding This Crain Bathroom Incident Were Already Strange.....

- the putting out of the officers report of the incident; - the release of the interrogation tape; - the way the Repugs drove the bus over Craig so fast; and now the latest - a leaked telephone message of Craig saying he is potentially going to fight this.

Am I being too 'tinfoily' here? How did the MSM get this tape of the telephone message? Was somebody spying on him - listening and recording his telephone calls? Is he being targeted or made an example of? Is his fighting this - against the wishes of the Repugs - mean that he might be strongarming them back. Maybe saying if you don't let me stay in the Senate I'll spill some beans and you'll be sorry.

What is going on? This whole thing is strange.

There is no "putting it out." It's out there for whoever wants to see it and knows it exists.

and in this case, they did. It was not leaked sneakily to any particular media source. It was released to the public. I think you're maybe reading too much into this.

I know I would have my attorney on speed dial (both on my cell phone and my home phone), especially in his situation (looking for ways to fight his guilty plea).

So I guess his phone just mis-dialed the number....

And despite all the enemies and whistleblowers and potential disgruntled acquaintances of the Senator the
swift range of assault speaks volumes of an attempt by the WH itself cutting the guy off at the knees with the pants dropped.

They want him out and fast and KNEW he would be a hard case willing to drag it on for his own advantage.
It all speaks of long and deep personal knowledge, planning, "oversight" and to the immense satisfaction of Dems already wiretapped inside Congress and out, a lesson to the GOP on blowback. (Sorry for the unintentional double entendres.)

Aren't we happy that we ALL, including our closet-case bisexual Senators, voted to give up the rights of the people, so that we can find out that Larry Craig likes a little young guy's "member" every so often?

Hey, this is a wonderful opportunity for the Democrats! This is what happens when we throw away our liberties out of fear of Saddam or fear of some strange stupid AL Qaeda reason. America is not only a brave wonderful, prosperous, and rich nation, America is an idea, about freedoms and liberties found in our Constitution, nowhere else in the world before 1787. THAT'S the "America" I want to restore, not Hillary's version of "it's OK to take money from big business in order for me to sit in the oval office" kind of American.

There's a lot of mystery as to why Craig called the wrong phone number a half hour before he had his press conference, where he said it was his "intent" to leave Sept 30. Now we know he was doing his typical "I am not gay" and "I did nothing wrong" statements......he likes male sexual organs, he likes to hide that fact from the world. He's about to find out what a fool really is, a man who is not honest with himself, can hardly be a man Americans respect or want to have representing them.

Don't get me wrong, I think people who are attracted to the same sex should have all the rights and should serve America and the world in ANY way they want! I love Barney Frank because he's honest and has intelligence and integrity, and admitted to mis-judgements in his past, and many Republicans in Mass vote for him for that very reason. Barney Frank, the correct way to be a same-sex loving public servant representing us!

Wish that one single Republican could do so!

This is a delightfully unscripted moment in US politics. The people who called for his head are panicking over 2008--Norm Coleman especially. There's probably a significant hate element at work here, too, of course. Arlen Specter's rah-rah, "go fight the man" routine is fun to watch.

This isn't a railroad. This is a coopful of freaked out turkey.
