Looks like Fred Thompson was right to skip the debate and go on Leno instead

I don't have a link as of this time but I'm hearing he drew a whopping 6 million viewers on Leno a hell of a lot more than the republican candidates did during the debate. even more than big dog did on Larry King.

2. Yes, and he got to say whatever he wanted to,

unlike those in the debate. I didn't watch the show, don't watch Leno on principle, but appearing on talk shows always helps candidates, unless they totally screw up on the air. Lots of people watch talk shows who never watch political debates.
