Poll question: Giuliani vs. Thompson. Who is easier to beat?
Edited on Tue Sep-11-07 08:43 AM by antiimperialist
Looks like the race has tightened in the other side.

Who would be easier to beat?

1. They're both vile, disgusting human beings
I don't think either one would be very difficult to beat in the general election.

4. Southern White Christian Conservative base voting for Giuliani?
NOT!

They (Karl Rove's base that he panders to) would all stay home if Giuliani was the nominee.

loose the base, loose the election.

2. I don't think it is that close...the Republicans have a hurdle(or two)
The Republican nominee, no matter who has got to overcome the hurdles that are depicted in the following links:
These are things that will keep hard core 'rekigious rightists' and more moderate Republicans away from the polls. The only scenario that will overcome the Democrats inate laziness at election time.

7. Thompson looks tougher, initially, because he's less "known"
....but over the course of a long primary/general season, shit about him will come out and he's not as seasoned at swatting away filthy rumor and nasty innuendo. On the contrary, RUDE-EEEE's sordid life is already an open book.

Ergo, I vote for the drunken shar pei husband of the granddaughterish looking Titsa Plenty. It's a long-ass campaign. He ain't got the stamina, IMO.

Both are beatable. Rudy can't win the GE. Fundies won't allow it.

12. Giuliani. All you need is this one quote:
Edited on Tue Sep-11-07 10:07 AM by Kelly Rupert
We look upon authority too often and focus over and over again, for 30 or 40 or 50 years, as if there is something wrong with authority. We see only the oppressive side of authority. Maybe it comes out of our history and our background. What we don't see is that freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do.

(Interruption by someone in the audience)

You have free speech so I can be heard.

Step 1: Run that quote as an ad.
Step 2: Win.
