Here's a question...
If so many people think that Edwards is faking it, why hasn't he significantly altered his message since he's so far back in the polls? His stance is obviously not cutting it with regards to gaining on Clinton, yet he still keeps saying the same things. His message is a good one. I doubt anyone here would argue that.

The problem seems to be that there are those who doubt his sincerity. If he's not sincere, why is he staying on message rather than trying to subtly shift it to something that might be more palatable to the Powers-That-Be?

I honestly don't understand why Clinton's the front-runner at this point. We need change desperately and she's already shown us that she is the candidate that represents the LEAST change, politically speaking.

It all leaves me scratching my head and wondering.

1. I couldn't agree more.
Edwards appeal is his stay on track message. He was ALMOST VP, or maybe he actually was, technically, due to the theft, and I don't know all the details but when Kerry resigned from the recount, I'm betting it was NOT Edwards idea, and that he would've fought the recount forever, which brings me to the point that I think he is a fighter, and therefore should be way ahead of HC!

2. He believes his message is the right one
many voters do too. Message isn't the problem, messenger is.

Home. The place that helps to define how we see ourselves and how we choose to make our way in the world — the blueprint of our lives.- John Edwards

?
"One of the things they should be asked to do is drive more fuel-efficient vehicles," Edwards told a forum held by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers here. When asked if this meant telling voters to give up their SUVs, the former senator said, "yes," according to the Associated Press.

It goes on and on and on......

3. I don't give a FUCK about his house...
I'm sick of it being an issue, especially since it was turned into an issue by the Powers-That-Be as a deliberate distraction from his message. Nice to see it get such great play here.

As far as his SUV goes... If he asked Americans to give up theirs, but still kept his own, THAT would be a problem. Although where he lives an SUV is actually useful, especially with a large family.

He's certainly never indicated that the status quo is good enough for him, unlike the front runner.

Seems like bashing Edwards and other Democrats is the only reason you joined DU.
