Kucinich needs money to combat attacks & continue his message

He pushed hard against the administration in the rush to invade Iraq and is one of a few that is actively seeking a new path for our nation as conditions in the ME continue to deteriorate. He will not get any help from some of the timid in his own party and the corporate media would prefer to ignore his message while labeling him and his ideas extreme.

Many complain that their concerns are not being heard yet ignore an obvious solution by not contributing to the one person who has been expressing these concerns.

He has consistently voted for the interests of the people while others voted for measures to ensure corporate profitability and to reduce the rights of people.

Patriot Act
China Trade bill
Iraq War
Domestic spying
+++

If you agree with his policies and are able to contribute our voices could grow louder, thanks :)

from an email...

"Nearly two weeks ago, I went to the Middle East on a peace mission, accompanied by my wife Elizabeth. Today I am being attacked as a traitor and vilified for reaching out to people of the region, hearing their concerns and discussing those concerns openly in public forums. My campaign is in need of immediate financial assistance to respond to a right wing hate machine that went into over-drive on the 6th anniversary of 9/11, using my visit to Syria and Lebanon as red meat for their attack dogs. Please go to www.dennis4president.com now to contribute.

Elizabeth and I went to the region to determine the level of interest that exists for peace. As the person who led Democrats five years ago in opposition to the war against Iraq, I went to determine the impact of the war on Syria, which shares a border with Iraq and has taken in over 1.5 million Iraqi refugees. I went to learn what the issues are that separate Syria from hopes for peace with Israel. I went to see for myself the impact of border security issues. I went to learn how the U.S. is viewed by ordinary people. I made my self available to media to discuss my own views as to how the U.S. can take a more constructive role in the region and lead the way to peace.

As the author of legislation HR1234, a plan to end the Iraq war, I went to determine whether anyone in the international community believed the war could end soon and how Iraq can be made more stable. As someone who attended the first Congressional briefing on the Baker Hamilton report, I went to learn if, in fact, Syria was ready to play the constructive role that the report envisioned. I went to learn the degree to which Syria was providing relief for Iraq's refugees. We met with presidents, political leaders, ordinary citizens and the media to hear their concerns and to share hopes for peace in the Middle East.

As a Congressman, I have a special obligation to determine whether the money that is spent in furtherance of U.S. policy is being spent constructively or destructively, based on lies or on truth. As a Presidential candidate, I must learn first hand whether the opportunity for peace between nations is a pipe dream or a real possibility. I have no authority to enter into negotiations for the U.S., to fashion agreements, to sign treaties, or to establish policy between nations. As President, I will be able to affect these matters more directly.

Reason and peace should not be silenced by fear mongers or the right wing attack machine. But I need your help to answer them now. We must not allow efforts for peace and reconciliation to be continually destroyed by those who want permanent war.

I am asking for your support. I am asking all of my supporters, who have donated in the past, to match their earlier contributions by September 30. If you have not yet given - now is the time. It is essential for our campaign to raise $250,000 to enable us to continue our message of strength through peace. I am asking you to continue standing with me and with our campaign. Together we are making a difference; together we will continue to build the America we all want to see.

Sincerely,

Dennis J Kucinich

5. Why is it that dems never give support when someone sticks their neck out?
When the GOPers were in their full glory, they hammered various people for apologies and the dems were silent. It would mean a lot for Kucinich if someone, or several someones, in the party would a least support Kucinich's right to say things that might be unpopular with the rabid right.

I support Kucinich, and have sent him money. As far as I'm concerned, he's replaced Wellstone as the conscience of the congress. I look forward to the day when telling the truth goes mainstream.

7. You got me, when Kerry missed a word in a speech most
remained silent and pressed ahead with their own agendas. And how many of the Dems that are given air time give Dennis credit for reading the NIE and questioning the intel when it mattered...anybody?

And now when congress is asked to vote on holding on Iran accountable they all line up and vote yes while Dennis questions the intel and asks for proof, again.

It's easy to see why the average citizen decides not to play the game anymore if the system is rigged to promote those who have not done their job and silences those who have.

Thanks.

12. The media has more control of people than we think.
I cant find anything else that would keep people away from him, he is by far the candidate that is stepping up to the plate and speaking out on behalf of the American people. We are turning into a country of arrogant, ignorant people at an amazing rate. You cant even get many Clinton,Edwards or Obama supporters to even read a post with Kucinich in the title? People are very closed minded when it comes to the future of our country, I think its very dangerous at a critical time in our country. If the media doesn't promote it, the people of America don't want to even give it a chance but will continue to attack the media for being agendas driven? I don't understand it at all?

People skip right over the fact that most of the candidates handed george bush a loaded gun and continued to feed him ammo as he asked for it? They were afraid not to give him money because they didn't want to lose any political positioning that may hurt their political career. It pays allot to ignore the people, tell them what they want to hear and then make lots of money from the people that count...the corporations! Now we look away from the one guy that stood up from the beginning and look to put a candidate in the white house that played political games with human lives, unforgivable in my eyes but not to many others?

10. I'll have to pick the brain of one of my relatives when we see him
in two weeks, high up in a major insurance company. He thought this legislation was beyond stupid. Registered Repub, did not vote for Bush in 2004 and voted Dem in 2006 because the administration needs to be held accountable...then Pelosi took impeachment off the table. So many people becoming disallusioned with their parties.

I gave up on all the twists and turns, if I get any good info will let you know.

11. If I ever get another paycheck.
It's been a long, long dry summer, with my last paycheck June 1st. As soon as the checks start rolling in regularly, I'll scrape some dollars together.

I wonder how many people feel like I do; that a few dollars isn't enough, and that if I can't send more than $10 or so, I might as well not bother. I feel guilty, or embarrassed that the budget won't stretch any further these days.

I'll bet, though, that there are enough like me up there to make those $10 bills multiply into something more significant.
