Hillary's or Edwards.

I don't happen to agree with a previous post that said this election is different from the 04 one, I think it is too early to call at this point.

And for sure, it is way too early to count any candidate in or out.

2. This early any of the three candidates have a good shot.
Leads can erode, mistakes can be made, endorsements touted. Clinton, Obama, & Edwards all have a pretty equal chance. The polls at this point only tell us who are the contenders, who's building a national organization, how they are positioning themselves.

I'm okay with any of the three winning.

4. Obama needs to
step up his game and quit making rookie mistakes. He'd make a good president, but he's not going to get there by making dumb mistakes.

7. You know, you are doing nobody any good with your high school football game mentality.
Calling people "bullshit" because they happen to support another candidate is wrong, and you do it all too often with your one-liners. We are all Democrats here.

You joined us this year, is this how you want to be perceived? As a one-trick pony who will disappear in a huff if Obama doesn't get the nomination?

9. Some people like me, some people don't. What can I do?
I notice, however, that quite a few people around here, including Hillary and Edwards supporters respect me and seem to like me, and I appreciate that.

And, one more thing: I'm here at DU to stay. I don't donate to causes I don't support.

11. "What can I do?" - I would say look past the avatar before you rush off some comment.
Just my two cents, take it with a grain of salt or a pound of salt, at your choosing. :)

12. Oh, it was a metaphor.
That's when you compare two seemingly unrelated objects to make an analogy.

13. I know, Bluebear. Lit grad student here.
By the way, even if we disagree on certain issues, it is my intention to have a cordial relationship with everyone here, you included. Don't think my ardent support for Barack Obama is in any way a personal vendetta against anyone.

I just want us all to rally behind the eventual nominee and not burn our candles out in the primary wars.

15. when you've been involved in politics as long as I have
you can spot a rookie a mile off. Obama is a good man and would make a great president in 2026. Just not right now.

19. Make that 2024
2026 is not a presidential election year. Although Obama could be running for reelection in 2022.

Edited on Sun Sep-16-07 12:35 PM by Gman
if that's what you think then there's nothing I can do to explain my logic that you'll understand. We're talking some concepts that are a little more advanced than that here.

as you know..

I prefer the realtime poll---who's getting the most small donor DONATIONS?
We all know the answer to that.

As an Obama supporter, I regognize that HRC is the frontrunner. If she stumbles, Obama is the likely 2nd choice.
