1. Good thing it's a non-patrician quiz
I hate those patrician quizzes. Always wanting to know who my ancestors were, what I think of the weather in Byzantium... Plus I don't know Latin so that makes the whole thing kinda tough. :P

5. Edwards
Interesting that my most agreed-with Republican was Guiliani, who I actually agreed with on more issues than I disagreed with. But he was the only Republican like that.

My top three were Edwards, Biden and Clinton/Obama

I also think he's "more" D when it comes to the war...

He's a converted Catholic...I suspect the church's "culture of life" theology influences him in those areas...

I will refrain from calling him Sam Brownshirt anymore...

The candidates I would consider voting for are Kucinich, Richardson, Obama, Dodd, and maybe Edwards.

And clustered pretty close together. Then a big numerical gap and the 'Licans.

Who would have thunk it?

15. There are no questions about labor, poverty, welfare...
actually no economic questions at all save for one about making Bush's tax cuts permanent. That's interesting to me, and I can't help but wonder what that's doing to the results.

16. Kucinich, Gravel, Dodd.
Kucinich 58
Gravel 50
Dodd 48
Richardson 47
Edwards 44
Obama 41
Clinton 41
Biden 36

Republicans ranked from 1-25.

Highest Republican on points: Ron Paul. Highest Republican on # of issues: Guiliani. Must be because I ranked Iraq highest in importance.
Lowest Republican: Tancredo got a score of "1."

27. the question on immigration was screwy!
I support tough penalties for anyone who hires an illegal immigrant, but I support making everyone born in this country a citizen. I don't support funding bio-energy without some sort of windfall profits tax like Carter supported!

Richardson 38
Edwards 38
Kucinich 36
Obama 32
Clinton 32
Dodd 29
Gravel 28
Biden 28

my Republicans ranked from 3-22

Guiliani 22, and Romney 13 came a distant second. Brownback, Thompson, and Hunter got 3, and were the worst on my list.

36. It was the line-item veto question that shifted my results.
In any version of any candidate selector, I always end up with DK (and Gravel) up at the top. The rest tend to jump around, depending on the issues focused on, and the wording of the question.

My position on the presidential veto question jumps around, too, from moment to moment; it's a see-saw.

37. I have the same problem..
The candidates and rankings I get for them tends to jump around, from test to test. below are two other tests I have used.

http://www.speakout.com/VoteMatch/senate2006.asp?quiz=2008#sec0

http://www.selectsmart.com/president/2008.html

based on these three tests..only Edwards appears among the top three while Gravel regularly gets the lowest ratings among the Democrats. with Republicans Giuliani consistently gets the highest rankings while Brownback gets the lowest.

just like the debates we watch, these results make it harder for me to pick a primary candidate. but they often surprise me..I expected Gravel to get my highest rankings among the Democrats and Ron Paul among the Republicans. yet Paul got the highest results of the Republicans in one test I took, and in the test posted above only a few points above Brownback! Richardson was my top Democrat in the quiz you took, but he had my lowest rankings in the selectsmart version.

 we have plenty of time to make a choice.

17. Three way tie at 51.
HRC, BO, DK. The questions were to broad however. They left no room for nuance or different answers. I guess that is why I am having trouble finding a candidate to support.

11 questions might align me with a particular candidate philosophically, but my support is decided by a bit more complex thinking. :)

35. Kucinich (56), Dodd (50), Gravel(49), Obama(49), Clinton(49), Richardson(47), Edwards(43), Biden(37)
In that order, then come the GOPers:
Giuliani(27), Paul(27), Romney(15), Gilmore(8), McCain(8), Brownback(4), Hunter(3)

I thought I would score higher with Edwards...

Who the hell is Gilmore?
