2. He was debating that sleeze Patterson who wrote
the anti-Hillary book.

He won this battle handily, with regard to when a reservist can participate in politics.

3. Chris re-frames the Question: not. is Rush wrong to bad mouth soldiers who
disagree with the war, but, are those soldiers wrongly criticizing the war while on duty. How disingenuous.

4. That was dreadful - not Soltz, he was great - but...
notice the framing of that debate. When MoveOn called Petraeus "Betray Us" the debate was framed as "Is it unpatriotic for MoveOn to criticize Gen. Petraeus?"

But when Limbaugh calls the troops "phony soldiers," the debate is framed as "Is it unpatriotic for Iraq veterans to criticize the war?" (Literally - MSNBC's text at the bottom of the screen read, "Unpatriotic for Iraq vets to criticize the war?")

So instead of having a debate about Limbaugh's comments, we had ten minutes of discussion on whether or not it's okay for veterans or reservists to comment on Iraq - something that shouldn't even be up for debate, because of course it bloody well is. Why are they even discussing it?

When MoveOn uses "betray us," it's cause for the media to discuss the unpatriotic activities of anti-war activists. But when Limbaugh uses "phony soldiers," it's cause for the media to... discuss the unpatriotic activities of anti-war activists. What a joke.

5. It's scream at the screen time - once again
Then later they talk about the votes on Iran the other day and never mention that Biden voted against it. It was chatter that only Edwards and someone else, forgot, objected, but Biden wasn't mention. Basically bashing All Dems. Being a Biden fan this is frustrating.

6. The screen stuff yes, but I didn't see it
I always said the Move On ad was poor strategy to be honest.

When John brought up elected politicians in the reserves it made the whole question moot of course.
