1. Remember 2003 - Hillary's book tour when Dems shoulda been focusing on primary candidates.
Edited on Sat Sep-29-07 05:47 PM by blm
Remember June 2004? Bill's book tour when Dems should been learning more about their new nominee.

Bill's book tour ended up making lots of great headlines for Bush, though, since Bill made sure to publicly support Bush's strategies on terrorism and the Iraq war.

Unfortunately, Bill forgot to mention Kerry's prescient and exhaustive work tracking terror networks and their funding in the 80s and 90s - long before 9-11 focused the nation on the issue. No, really....he just forgot.

11. McAuliffe told Kerry he had election process under control that 2000 wouldn't
be repeated - but he LIED, didn't he?

And why did McAuliffe lie to the Democratic voters and candidates and promise 2000 vote stealing would not happen?

Same reason Hillary and Bill set up their book tours for 2003 and 2004 - to protect Hillary2008.

You know it's true - you just don't care.

7. You Do Know Polls Indicate Americans Think Clinton Is One Of The Five Best Presidents Of All Time
Edited on Sun Sep-30-07 07:40 AM by DemocratSinceBirth
Up there with Washington, Lincoln, and Roosevelt...

Now, I think that's nonsense but it does illustrate the reservoir of good will for Bill Clinton in this nation...

In fact Clinton is one of the few American leaders or ex leaders who can get adoring crowds wherever he goes in the world...

I can understand why people oppose HR C's candidacy but I can't for the life of me see why Democrats want to take a dump on Bill Clinton... That should be left to the Hannitys, Limbaugh's, and Ann Colter's of the world...

5. Here's what I'm wondering...
What's the encore? We all know that GQ is gonna have Bill Clinton on their cover (and maybe as man of the year). But what else are they going to do? He can't write another book between now and January.

When Senator Clinton brought Bill Clinton to Iowa in July my husband wondered why she was bringing in the big guns so early - what could she do to get attention after this? Since then she's gone on all the Sunday talk shows and now Bill is going on all the Sunday talk shows (and really, even though Evan Bayh is good looking, his endorsement's not front page top of the fold material) Sooooo

Unless Al Gore (or maybe Tom Harkin here in Iowa) is her final big bang, she's going to be treading water for the next few months.

12. Too bad he promoted his last book in June2004 and supported Bush's policies
making great headlines for Bush throughout that book tour - headlines of Bill Clinton supporting Bush on terrorism and Iraq war strategy, only the two biggest issues of THAT election.

Will Bill be STILL supporting Bush on those strategies in 2008 or will he give a Democrat credit for their work on those issues? I'll guess that he does vary his level of support depending on the Democrat's name.
