HR 676 --- we need a Senate companion bill.....

HR 676 --- we need a Senate companion bill.....
In the previous Congressional session, Bernie Sanders was a co-sponsor of HR 676 when he was in the House of Representatives.

Now that he is in the Senate, could he be the one to introduce a Senate version of the bill?

4. But Kennedy's bill is the Senate companion bill to Rep. Dingell's HR2034
It's not the same as HR 676.

For one thing, it looks like Kennedy's bill allows private plans

SEC. 2204. CHOICE OF COVERAGE UNDER PRIVATE HEALTH CARE DELIVERY SYSTEMS.

`(a) IN GENERAL- The Secretary shall provide a process for --

`(1) the offering of private health plans for the provision of benefits under the program under this title; and

`(2) the enrollment, disenrollment, termination, and change in enrollment of eligible individuals in such plans.

`(b) OFFERING OF PRIVATE HEALTH PLANS-
