I want to share a converstation I had with a Hillary supporter
Edited on Thu Oct-11-07 10:23 PM by itsrobert
But I can't, because I don't know any Hillary supporters. ;)

You would think these corporate polling companies were purposely manipulating their polls.

1. How rude and limited.
Perhaps it's good that you keep yourself only to those who completely agree with you. It spares the rest of us.

Why do you think RFK, George McGovern, and Wes Clark have endorsed her? Are they controlled by this "corporate media" of which you speak?

Can't say I'm isolated however. Clinton supporters don't exist in my neck of the woods.

14. Ever walk around the block?
I assure you the majority of Democrats in San Diego support Clinton. You can look up the California poll data yourself. I would suspect her support is stronger in San Diego than in the Bay Area, given the overall demographic. Although, she's ahead everywhere in the Golden State.

so, I don't know any either... but your starting a flame war...

And you are correct about the polls... There are way too many undecided to call this a shoo-in. I still haven't made up my mind and I said I would by the end of Sept. Still sitting in limbo like a hanging chad.

21. A friend of mine
lives just down the road from Des Moines, was polled and he said Clinton, Obama, Edwards in that order. I asked why he switched from Biden? His reply," they were a poll, not the actual caucus." he went on to say " we here in Iowa only get national attention once every four years. we like to surprise the rest of you." I've slept well every nite since.

40. No, but the number of people who say it does suggest that her
support is neither as broad nor as deep as her supporter would have us believe.

I, too, know nobody who supports her. My Mom supports Biden, little sis supports Obama, big sis & I support Kucinich, as do all the members of the small Bookcrossing group I asked at our last meeting.

That doesn't mean they aren't out there, but I haven't found em.

24. Dont feel bad I live in Maryland and know of no Clinton supporters either?
I also wonder about the great polls that so many rely on. I guess that just means that I don't get out either. :sarcasm:

Just go back and look at the propaganda that was being spewed by Clinton as Kucinich was speaking about how there was no evidence to go to war. I think people really don't want another president that is driven by money and will go to war and kill innocent people without any evidence. That is why I believe I don't know any Clinton supporters, people are angry about what took place and are afraid of what the candidates that made that yes vote will just do it again. I notice allot of Clinton supporters ignore the facts of what took place back in 2002 and feel that the thousands of innocent lives that were lost really don't mean anything anymore. It shows the sad shape our country and society is in when no one really cares about their fellow citizen, its all about their favorite candidate winning and thats it.

44. I went to the local Democratic club meeting tonight
It was a good night with a good turnout. We had lots of good discussions about all the local issues and where to spend money and not.
One thing was clear, whatever the choice is in the general election, any Democratic candidate will get our vote. I didn't have to ask questions about issues, we all agreed that Kucinich and Edwards represented our views. Like the Rolling Stones said "You can't always get what you want". We all knew that the best choice isn't the most likely choice. Clinton might not be the best choice, but it's a hell of a lot better than anyone on the other side of the aisle. She might be Republican lite, but that's a lot better than Republican Sledge Hammer!
