14. Yep. That's my answer also
I can find a real mix of positive and negative things to say about all of the Democrats currently running. If I end up backing someone, no matter who that might end up being, it will be with significant reservations. Gore would be far better for me than our current choices. Clark and Feingold already ruled themselves out.

41. It is a generic YOU...refering to the internecine war going on here at DU
it was a very interesting question, and I probably could have given it more thought, but basically I have stayed out of all the debates because of the extreme hatred some have of their opponents.

that I can't stop my mind from wandering when I see his picture.

Maybe he'll be a vice-president? He's still pretty young, too. A future Presidency is still not out of the question.

I'd gladly vote for him.

31. his poll numbers and the bankruptcy bill
Biden's record besides the bankruptcy bill is quite remarkable. Most people would like Biden if it wasn't for that damn bill. Hopefully as the race moves closer people can look past it and realize Biden has the qualifications to be an amazing President.

36. The only thing I could say
is look at all of the other things he has accomplished in his career. Biden's been around as we all know since the civil rights movement and Vietnam. He's been a part of many great things over the years. His positives outweigh his negatives. Most of the candidates running have a few questionables in thier voting history. Biden doesn't have much against him like some candidates. No questionable funding, etc. I think when you look at how many things he's actually voted on in the Senate during his career- he's done some remarkable things. Biden's biggest plus is being able to talk to the American people in a way that we understand and doesn't beat around the bush. He's straight up. And of course, don't we want a President that has his experience? His foreign policy expertise is unpararell to anyone else running. I trust him to do what's right for the country- not for what's on his own political agenda.

43. This was an issue with me as well
but recently I read an article that explained it more clearly. The former bankruptcy bill let debtors off the hook in regards to their delinquent child support payments and unpaid mothers were 7th in line behind other major creditors. The bill was unfair to women and children, whereas the fathers often walked away freed of their obligations to their children. This however, was never mentioned in the MSM.

he hasn't been able to look impressive on debates. Hillary and Edwards have mastered the art of the zingers and the one-liners, and Obama hasn't.
