Kathy Sullivan endorses Clinton
Former New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Kathy Sullivan endorsed Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign today.

Until she stepped down last spring, Sullivan was the longest serving Democratic Chair in state history. Because of her connections and political astuteness she was seen as a big catch for any campaign.

She's a heck of an organizer and if endorsements mean anything in New Hampshire - hers will be important.

8. Thank you, Ric Romero
Kathy is part of the Shaheen inner circle and has been unofficialy flacking for Hillary for months. She really doesn't give Clinton anything she didn't already have, ie, the Shaheen hard-core supporters, some Manchester hack politicos, and another baby boom woman who can raise money.

Color me unimpressed.

25. Had Ms. Sullivan endorsed the good Senator Obama
would she have been inclusive as having "good sense" and can we also assume that all those not on your list are senseless?

26. No, she wouldn't
Kathy and I have had some very pronounced differences of opinion over the years. Her complicity with the DCCC meddling in the 2006 primary race and her defense of the morally vile Ray Buckley are the two biggest problems.

15. The more *politicos* who support HRC this early, the more I'm sure that they are being paid off ...
with either promises of cash in their campaign coffers or sweet whispers of potential cabinet positions in the royal family of The Clintonian DLC.

Yes, I'm making a list of everyone who comes out THIS EARLY for HRC - they're not the kind of people I'd want babysitting my children or much less, serving as ROLE MODELS.

17. Yes and all that matters to you folks is winning, no matter what the cost.
That's just plain sad ... there is no true WARMTH or SOUL to this "machine driven" campaign ... you're like a big bull dozer running over every shread of opposition in your wake ... a destroyer with no compassion or empathy ... just chants of "Come join the Band Wagon for you five minutes of HRC LOVE."

18. So your saying it doesn't matter to you if your candidate doesn't win?
Edited on Mon Oct-15-07 01:32 PM by William769
I find that hard to believe.

23. Just do like I am and support the candidate on their actions...
not because someone else endorses them. You know why you support your candidate but you have no idea why others do, so who cares. I could care less who supports my candidate because it doesn't change what my candidate stands for. Remember that its not a game with teams here, this is our children's future at stake so don't fall for the many games played around here, just vote for the one who you feel cares about you and not the $$$. If we want to ever see real change for our country we will ignore the television, search out unfiltered answers and vote for the people not the corporations and we will all be in a better place. Until America realizes whats being done in front of our eyes, many Americans will continue to support the corruptness without having a clue they are. Our country has been dumbed down and the system is working perfectly, just not for the people anymore.

29. What about the "politicos" who have already come out in support of the other candidates?
Do you assume that they're being paid off too?

27. Kathy Sullivan's actual blog post
From Bluehampshire.com

Hillary Clinton - the Best Person to be President

I've met the candidates, watched the debates, gone back and forth in my own mind, and done all the other things we do in New Hampshire before deciding who to support. Reading the discussions here at Blue Hampshire has been a part of that process - both in listening to the positive things people have said about their candidates, and also some of the not so positive things that have been said!

When deciding who to vote for in a presidential primary, the number one question for me has always been, who will make the best president? This election I am supporting the person who will be the best president, but, in a happy coincidence, the best person to be president is also the person who will win in November, 2008: Senator Hillary Clinton....
