I Am Watching The Gold Medal Presentation Ceremony To The Dalai Lama On CSPAN Now....
and am finding it real hard to look at the Dalai Lama a Man of Peace being shown sitting next to * a Man of War.

It's like looking at an Angel and a Devil - it's like looking into Heaven and Hell at the same time.

There is something wrong with that picture.

1. ------
"Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consiousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.

2. Let alone...
Ros-Lehtinen, Mitch MConnell, and John Boner shotting off their yaps...

Chimpy's up now, and seriously medicated. Slurring his words, smirking at inappropriate momennts, and weaving back and forth. Looks like shit.

Elie Wiesel was great, though. :toast:

3. I think he (Dalai Lama) is a little politically naive. He should never pose in
the same photo as.....that ....man. He's allowing himself to be used.

4. I think the Dalai Lama is above politics. He's a true "christian" in that way. nt

5. I dont agree at all. :)
I think he is one very, very smart man, in addition to being wise.

The only time I can ever recall him appearing really naive was in the early days, when he thought China would be "just" towards the Tibetans.
