Is someone who is being paid by a particular campaign or cause to make comments on message boards, etc.. to make it appear there is more support for a candidate/position than there really is.

Sometimes these people actually believe their statements, even though they are being paid for them... however, mostly, the money will dictate the message and what they "believe".

It sometimes amazing to watch people completely shift their entire view on a subject because a particular candidate said something contrary to what their previous posts indicated was their position. These glaring logic inconsistencies are the easiest way to spot a paid shill.

I made a derisive comment about this in my HRC post, because I believe they're are several out there...
