It is unethical to let a Republican win any election.
With the Republicans currently in the hands of obnoxious, deliberately ignorant, dangerous, corrupt, scheming, misanthropic, thieving confidence people, who can get us all killed, spend our kid's money, dirty the world, kill off nature, it is a moral imperative to vote against Republicans, to contribute against them, to work against them, to obstruct their power, to diminish them. It is unethical not to do so.

1. You're too kind; it's EVIL to let a Puke win any election
other than the mildness of your statement, every word in it is pure, shining truth.

2. Is it not possible for a Republicann to NOT be "in the hands" of Bush & Co.?
I think your topic is over the top, myself.

Don't accuse 1/2 of American of being "unethical". You only isolate people with that kind of talk, and that shouldn't be your goal.

5. It's unethical to me, though I know there are ethical Republicans.
But those ethical Republicans let it happen.

it's that he's a REPUBLICAN. period.

8. It is unethical to let any "conservative" in at all... The DLC Dems are
just as evil in my book. Progressive Dems are the one's we should work extra hard on electing into office.... In reality, that is the middle... Anyone saying they are a conservative, means to me that they are to the right of the country and they are lock-step in handing our country over to the corporate enterprises who will rule our enslaved lives.

That's going to get you into some hot water, especially here. But not from me. I agree.

14. On DU, calling the DLC names is no evidence of indepent thought.
If anything, it's acknowledging the massive, glaringly obvious political differences between even DLC dems and the likely Republican candidates that requires independent thought. The amount of lockstep "they're all as bad as one another"ing, is really depressing.

11. Yes. Fortunately, we do not run conservative candidates.
Even the worst evil in the world, Joe Lieberman, votes with the Democrats and against the Republicans 87% of the time.

Sen. Nelson of my own state runs as a moderate, conservative Dem.. and has voted lock step for this war all the way... and don't get me started on Lie-berman... That fucker is beating the drum for Iran. Thank God he is (I)... I don't want him anywhere near claiming (D).

I'm not a conservative. I' really rather liberal.. They do not represent me.. and quite frankly don't represent my friends.

Since we're morally superior it'd be perfectly fine for us to steal all the elections.

Edited to add -> :sarcasm:

13. Who said you have a choice?
I mean, as a Floridian I don't even have a chance to vote for a Democratic nominee. What makes you think the national election will be any different?

15. Is it also unethical to publically attack Democratic leaders? If so, a lot of DUers are in trouble.
Edited on Mon Oct-22-07 06:02 AM by Perry Logan
Calling the Democrats in Congress cowards, for example, almost certainly helps the Republicans, which is definitely unethical. Or calling one of our Presidential candidates a whore.

That means this whole forum will probably sink into the earth at any moment.
