Aging Uber Rightwing Freak Phyllis Schlafly Is Unhappy With Repub Pres Contenders
Sorry about the religious rightwing link, but this is worth the laugh.

Conservative icon Phyllis Schlafly is expressing strong dissatisfaction with the top-tier Republican presidential candidates. She also questions the validity of the results of the Values Voters straw poll on Saturday.

Eagle Forum founder Phyllis Schlafly says most of the GOP candidates who have been designated frontrunners are globalists. According to Schlafly, candidates Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, Fred Thompson, John McCain, and Mike Huckabee all "need to wake up" and realize they need the votes of Reagan Democrats to win.

"I think that's a great mistake for the Republicans. I feel that it's very important that they reach out to people on the jobs issue," Schlafly shares. "I was quite disappointed with the debate that was broadcast from Michigan, which is an economically depressed state, and they didn't appear to have any sympathy or compassion for all the millions of people who've lost their jobs that have moved to China."

In the straw poll taken over the weekend in conjunction with the Values Voters Summit, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney topped former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee by a mere 30 votes. Schlafly contends that Huckabee was the winner among conference attendees who heard the weekend's speeches.

16. I thought Satan had welcomed her back into his bosom long ago.
Wasn't she able to convince the neocons to give her air time? Even as, say, Ann Coulter's fictional grandmother? (Fictional because Ann Coulter was never born; she was brought by a vulture.)

Sleazy Phyllis was a major reason why I became a progressive Democrat...back in the day.

I relish the opportunity to say "FUCK YOU, Phyllis" once again...for old times sake.

7. dear phyllis....
"...they didn't appear to have any sympathy or compassion for all the millions of people who've lost their jobs that have moved to China."

....the corporations/corporatists global interests have not been served well of late by the vocal wings of both corporate dominated parties....ideological wing candidates in both parties have been deep-sixth and marginalized while the remaining sanitary corporate candidates have been scrubbed even more squeeky clean....

....if you're looking for other than corporate issues and problem solutions from our political parties and system, you're living in the wrong country....sorry....

with her since the 1980's. When she slithered on the scene.

10. lol
she came to my college a few years after that and barely got through her speech. I've never seen people more angry, and the more we yelled at her, the more she yelled back.

12. Many of them are
How could one NOT be worried? What a bunch of stiffs: Pretty-Boy Droid, Big Dead Fred, Rudy Garland and Johnny Buzzkill don't really inspire confidence.

Huckabee looked like he could have had a chance, but his recent ur-primitive fundy ravings knock him back down a few pegs.

Who else is even worth mentioning? Ron Paul? He doesn't stand a chance with the warmongers or the ultra-puritans. Keyes? He's a scrabbling, psycho pipsqueak in Lynchville; that's not gonna happen. Duncan Hunter? Whatever; makes about as much sense as the rest of 'em.

The one good thing about the nauseating prospect of having Senator Clinton rammed down our throat is that these guys are just plain laughable. My conservative chums, family members and acquaintances are all down in the dumps about the choices; the only one who isn't is an extremely optimistic and genuinely happy person who loves Rudy. Everybody else is just plain grim.
