Glenn Hurowitz on Tucker sounding like an amateur
Edited on Fri Oct-26-07 05:06 PM by wyldwolf
Some of the stuff he's saying sounds like he's been drinking the anti-Clinton DU Kool aid.

McGovern was a grassroots candidate, like we haven't seen since. Kerry lost for a couple of reasons, but not because he lacks character, that was very insulting.

On Edit: I see Dean as being closest to a McGovern type of candidate.

18. Go Glenn! He sounded like MANY people who don't want Hillary to be our nominee!
:toast: He pointed out that she flip-flops, puts her finger in the air to see which way the wind is blowing, is too hawkish (thinking she'll look strong in the general since she already was coronated by the MSM in the primary) and is NOT the one to look for for change. I hope his group gets LOTS of coverage!

It looks like John Edwards, strangely enough, is the only who gets positive coverage. (well the only one living, he likes Wellstone too)

Barack Obama, Worlds Worst Negotiator

"On Tuesday, Barack Obama announced his support for President Bush's bid to expand the North American Free Trade Agreement to Peru.

Yup - Obama is once again helping pass one of President Bush's top priorities - even as Bush blocks the entire Democratic agenda and daily rains rhetorical abuse down on Democratic heads. Is this how Obama is going to negotiate in the White House?"

26. And this is their plan:
Edited on Fri Oct-26-07 05:40 PM by jenmito
"Our Plan
We're planning on running hard-hitting, creative ads in key primary states highlighting why Senator Clinton should not be the first choice of voters who want to end the war in Iraq, fight global warming, win universal health care - or beat the Republicans. But we need your help to get those ads on the air."

35. His goal is to get rid of Hillary...
I don't think Edwards has enough money to continue on very long so while hurting Hillary and trying to help Edwards it could bring Edwards' supporters over to Obama if and when Edwards drops out.

50. Yes, and if you get to see the tv ad...It sucks..
All the issues you mentioned cut into a 15 sec spot. The commercial is choppy, Obama falters when speaking and finishes with something like "People should be told what they need to hear"...that last phrase indicates appeasement..shameful.

22. Thats one point of view, many would disagree
I think Hillary is a candidate who does not try to tell America what they want, that doesn't equate to not being a leader as the left wing charges. She is a candidate who can win the Whitehouse and she knows how to win against the RW and she has the right vision for America today.

46. But not according to the polls.
According to my memory...the polls have Hillary beating all the Rethugs better than any of our other candidates. I like/love Obama and I hope he's our candidate in 2016. Then I truly think we and the whole country will be ready and waiting for Obama. Right now I think he needs more experience and the polls seen to indicate that as well...tho the polls could be wrong...won't be the first time. But right now I really think Hillary is more electable in the general and I'd hate to take a chance on losing out on the presidency. as I think she can win and I'm unsure about Obama.

51. I don't think the polls are right...
I think Obama has a better chance of winning. Many of us are tired of Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton and all the baggage and divisiveness that comes with it. Obama will be stale by 2016. Now's the time for someone new like him. New yet experienced.

55. I understand that. But I still think it's not good to "go after" another Democrat...
as opposed to supporting fervently another one. It splits the party and makes it weaker. It makes the Repubs very happy, which is a clue as to the effect of forming a group to go after the leading contender.

I say this as a non-supporter of Hillary. I'm not crazy about her and am not happy about her leading amongst the Democrats, but it's not a good idea to split the party, as opposed to supporting a different Democrat.

Also, I tend to think that if the Democrats as a whole want Hillary, well, that's what democracy is all about. If that's who the party members want, then...who am I to try to force them to accept who I think would be better?
