RE: is DCCC going to send birthday greetings out for Edwards, Obama, Dodd, Kucinich?

DCCC: Starting with Howard Dean’s e-mail on Tuesday (http://www.dccc.org/stakeholder/archives/005865.html), the DCCC is launching an aggressive effort to grow our list through the end of the year by working with the Presidentials and other progressive groups – today’s e-mail was just the first. The DCCC does not endorse presidential candidates and have not.

It ' s a "list-swap," says DCCC spokeswoman Jennifer Crider . The campaign committee -- as Politico reported yesterday is trying to broaden its fundraising base with an offer to send an email on a candidate ' s behalf to its list, in exchange for access to their similar-sized lists. The offer has been extended to Clinton, Obama, and Edwards; Clinton is the only one to take them up on it so far.

Made me want to take my name off their mailing list!!! But hey, if we get to send B-day greetings to ALL the candidates, kind of corny, but what the heck!:party:

It's a smart idea. It helps the Democratic Party.

Obama and Edwards birthdays are both way next year so there's no chance they could take the DCCC up on an opportunity to use the email list for their birthday. We'll see if they offer them something else.
