I was just reading about the British government minister who was pulled aside for questioning at U.S. airports. Ironically he was in this country after "talks on tackling terrorism with U.S. officials."
This has happened twice. He's Muslim, so it's pretty obvious it was racial profiling.
I was wondering if this would continue under a Dem administration in 2009.
And it's not only the racial profiling. It's "The List". Naomi Wolf has been pulled aside and questioned on several of her flights, and finally a screener told her she's on The List. It's gotten to the point where she once tossed a book she was reading in the airport trash rather than have "them" discover it (not that it was subversive, but could be construed as such by certain people), and another time she threw away a T-shirt.
It's obvious she is not a terrorist and is on The List because of her activism. Many people have found they're on The List and have absolutely no reason why.
So -- do you think the Dems will put an end to this when they take the WH, or will it continue?
