7. Right, the meat is soaked with bile
and no amount of cooking will remove the bitterness.

9. because we, as a species,
are naturally competitive and, if "your" candidate isn't doing as well as you want, it's much easier to turn your frustration toward the destruction of someone else than it is to focus it on building your candidate up and helping people see why you the he/she is so great.

Besides, on DU, haven't you noticed that the Threads which have a negative premise have many more responses than threads that have a positive premise? For those with issues seeking attention and a sense that not only are they necessary, but maybe also powerful -- wow! did you see how many responded to the thread about how my dead mother would have been disgusted by (fill in the blank here) --, you get way more attention with flies than honey. Or something like that.

Print something positive at DU? :boring: No responses at all, really.

10. We're not. This is what primaries are all about.
If you're referring to the attacks on Hillary, it's because she's the front runner with the most money, and if the others do nothing they will lose. If they over-play the attacks, it can back fire, but they can't just sit back and do nothing. They're not running as Hillary supporters. We have to get that idea out of our heads. They're all running to be the Democratic nominee and if Hillary was anywhere besides in the front, she'd be doing the same thing.

And if you're just talking about us here a DU, well, it's just an extension of the same dynamic.

14. Because sometimes your greatest enemy is ...
The enemy within. Any Democrat is not a good Democrat. That truth is on display several times a week in Congress. Republicans can beat the Democratic Party in elections, but they can't corrupt and destroy the party like DLCers can.

A Democratic Party run and represented by DLCers stands for nothing.

16. Because we are hungry.
Corporate democrats are fatter and juicier than the lean, clean, free-range variety. Many of them, being genetically modified, can't function independently without corporate support once they get their full growth. Besides, it really doesn't matter how many we eat; the factory farms they were hatched out of can always clone more.

Properly roasted, they are crunchy, and good with ketchup.

23. Because we are so used to spitting venom now (not our fault)
that we cannot help doing it to our own (our fault). Which, in the long run, is not in our best interests AT ALL since it may help elect a Republican president but hatred is irrational, I am afraid. Unfortunately, we all will have to suffer for it.

Considering how badly Dems generally do at casting, they should take some time.
