When asked about UFOs, why couldn't Dennis or someone else just said,
"What a stupid Goddamned question to ask in a presidential debate. And that's all I've got to say about that."

I would have just loved to have heard someone put those two smug, news attempting making "journalists" right in their place. Maybe afterward people like them might get a little more serious.

(My own thoughts are they purposely came up with that question to reinforce their views that Kucinich is an oddball and a fringe candidate.)

1. Dennis did that to the reporter who kept asking about his wifes tongue ring
He was like "She's an intelligent woman with a masters degree, why are you asking such irrelevent questions?" The idiot reporter kept asking about it anyways.

6. He did it last time too...
I remember in the 04 primaries he also replied about a terrible question and chastised a reporter then. I would have liked to have seen it done again.

2. But do you know what? I am going to bet that most American's watching..
the Debate... (Probably not many) actually believe in UFO's so I fail to see a problem either way.

7. Apparently they did some interviews afterward...
Where 60% of people said they'd vote for someone who'd seen a UFO, and 30% though they themselves had seen one.

You know what? I've seen an *UNIDENTIFIED* flying object. Doesn't mean I think I've seen aliens. Just means I didn't know what I was looking at. Oy.

And I agree, what a stupid question to be asked.

3. I wish Dennis said he wouldn't give aliens driving licenses...
...since UFOs don't usually drive on our roads anyway...

12. Yeah - ET is not going to get a drivers license
and Perhaps it's one of the WMDs George Bush saw in Iraq.

4. How come the Democrat party allows the corporate media
to run the debates?

5. You know, that is a good point...also...
I'd like to see some other groups out there sanction these debates, but if so I doubt if they would get air time. Though hopefully CSPAN would pick them up.

Also, it would have been so refreshing if Dodd or Biden had interrupted (they are supposed to be the "serious" or "adult" candidates) and chastised those two for coming up with such a question.

8. It's not an inappropriate question.
It was widely reported the week before the debate. We SHOULD get to know if he thinks he saw an alien ship or if he believed he received instructions from it. I wish he would've answered the question more completely.

11. Not at all
I want to know if a presidential candidate believes he saw an alien spaceship, and I want to know if he believes he received instructions from it.

14. He never confirmed or denied the "instructions" part of it.
Which, I thought was the only mistake Dennis made in his response. (plus a stupid semantic gaffe when he cited UFO sightings, using the numbers for UFO belief)

13. The RW did not go ballistic when Reagan mentioned UFO's and
Edited on Sun Nov-04-07 09:40 AM by rasputin1952
stated in a SOTU speech that the "next war will be in space", then pushing for SDI.

Reagan had some very serious "reality " problems, far beyond aliens and UFO's.

Personally, I think Nancy Reagan is an alien entity...:scared:

16. "I would have just loved to have heard..."
You would have loved it. The rest of America would have thought Dennis Kucinich was desperately trying to cover up a con or insanity.

17. At least he didn't vote for a war over belief in WMDs.
I'll take roses and UFOs over death and destruction in an illegal war.

That potential UFO also didn't cost this country $1 trillion.
